Vienna, 14.05.2019 Löger: Stock-market flotation of Frequentis a strong signal of Austria's status as a financial centre After Marinomed, another global market leader moves to the financial centre of Vienna

Austria's capital market is in the ascendant. Following the stock-market flotation of Marinomed in February, another global market leader, Frequentis, has joined the Vienna Stock Exchange. "A strong capital market constitutes a key locational factor and generates positive effects over the whole value-added chain. Flotation of the Austrian company Frequentis sends a strong signal as regards Austria's status as a financial centre," affirmed Finance Minister Hartwig Löger today.

Over the past few years, Frequentis has evolved from being a small business to become a global corporation, and has its headquarters in Vienna. "In Austria, there are many successful companies dependent on the financial market for investment or financing. As a federal government, we are constantly working on improving the institutional framework conditions for the financial and capital market," stressed Löger.

Only at the beginning of the year, the Third Market for SMEs was launched. "We will continue to take measures aimed at simplifying access to equity. Through this, we will create better framework conditions for business, and thereby boost Austria's status as a financial centre," concluded Löger.
