Examples of electronically supplied services
Electronic services are:
- the supply of websites, web-hosting, on-line data warehousing (electronic storage and retrieval of data);
- the supply of software, including software updates;
- the supply of images, text or information (e-books; on-line newspapers);
- the supply of databases (e.g. search machines);
- the supply of music, films and games, including betting and lottery and broadcasting services and events in the fields of politics, culture, art, sports, science and entertainment;
- the supply of electronic long-distance education services.
The following services are not considered electronic services:
- supplies on the basis of electronic orders;
- supplies of physical data storage media (e.g. CD ROM, CD, floppy disks, DVD, etc.);
- supplies of printed matter and of games on CD ROM;
- non-automated long-distance education;
- repair of EDP equipment;
- communication via e-mail (including consulting services);
- Internet access and videophone services.
