Printing Office

The federal government’s project “Printing and Copying Services” (as a part of the federal government’s “Serviceleistungen im Bund [services offered by the federal government] scheme) combines the federal government’s printing services into three cluster areas. The result of that project was that the Printing Office of the Federal Ministry of Finance was designated as the cluster leader for the so-called “federal government district”. The Printing Office works exclusively for the public authorities.

As a short-run, commercial printing office using offset technology to handle half-sheet format (approx. 50 x 70 cm) with substantial final processing facilities and high-performance digital printing, the Printing Office of the Federal Ministry of Finance is currently one of the most modern businesses in Vienna. The Printing Office’s seamless PDF workflows, using professional business management software, ensure optimum production processes, from preparation of bids to delivery of the finished product. Staff specialising in graphics, lithography, printing and bookbinding provide in-depth product advice and facilitate optimum customer service. The employees of the Printing Office have specific professional and occupational training and backgrounds and (depending on their job profiles) either hold certificates as specialists or master artisans. This ensures high quality standards. Many of the ministries and organisational agencies of the federal administrative authorities thus are already clients of the Printing Office.

The Printing Office of the Federal Ministry of Finance is also a pioneer in the realm of environmental protection. Since 8 October 2010, it has been entitled to display the Austrian Eco Label – as the first production office of a federal administrative agency to do so.
