Financial Markets
Finance markets and their developments play an important role for the economic system and the development of the economy: A stable finance system is the foundation for growth and higher employment figures. The Finance Ministry has the task of shaping the basic conditions in such a way that the finance markets can fulfil their economic function for the good of the people. One of the associated goals is to enable efficient access to finance resources (credits, securities, special financing). Another concern is to ensure the exchange of financial resources between capital seekers and investors is transparent and fair in order to balance contrasting market-economic interests.
Finance market policies also have to take into account the dynamic developments of the past few years: the shared currency, the integration of the finance and capital markets within the EU, the ongoing developments with finance service products and the global liberalization process are leading to a more efficient capital allocation but also to a higher sensitivity of the finance markets to problems and interference due to the higher degree of networking. The Finance Ministry faces these challenges by providing the framework for a sound and efficient finance system.
