International Finance Institutions
The scope of responsibility of the BMF also includes federal participation in international financial institutions (IFIs) as well as the promotions within the scope of these institutions, including consultant trust funds with the IFIs.
The strategic goals of the BMF are the optimal coordination between multilateral and bilateral development work while considering Austrian economic interests. Development and fighting poverty are multidimensional phenomena and are made up of complex processes. They encompass basically all key topics of society and business, especially social development, macroeconomic stability, education, health, food safety and availability, environment, trade, economic environment, infrastructure, legal system, statesmanship/leadership/governance.
The Austrian goals and conceptions are integrated into the information exchange with the IFIs via the ED offices as well as discussion contributions during annual conferences, reinstatement negotiations and similar occasions.
